FMDG Music School recognized during National Disability Employment Awareness Month

As part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) in October 2024 the NYC Talent and Workforce Development Center for Workplace Accessibility and Inclusion (CWAI) recognized the FMDG Music School for it’s commitment to helping those living with vision loss have the access to learn, play, sing, and celebrate through the power of music.

The celebration was held at 1 Liberty Plaza on Tuesday, October 28, 2024, and included presentations and a panel discussion.  Leslie Jones (Executive Director), accepted the award alongside other NYC organizations.  

Faculty members, Yo Kano and Richard Thai, performed with voice student, Elizabeth Tarr to kick off the morning event.
