FMDG Braille Music Collection Dedication

The FMDG Braille Music Collection was launched at the NYPL Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.  The collection features more than 2,500 music scores spanning various genres, including jazz, classical, and contemporary as well as volumes on music theory and history. The archive will be publicly accessible to the library’s patrons and provide unrivaled access for New York area musicians.

The celebratory launch event took place at the branch in the community room.  The program began with remarks from Executive Director, Dr. Leslie Jones and Supervising Librarian, Ashley Dalle, and concluded with performances by students and faculty.  Attendees also had the opportunity to view the collection located on the second floor of the library.

The FMDG Music School would like to thank everyone who attended the launch as well as the Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library.
